Pastoral Counseling - because we care.

Here at First Baptist Ludowici (FBL), we provide free, limited confidential Pastoral counseling which is faith based in nature and scope. The purpose of Pastoral counseling is to provide spiritual care and coping techniques in order for a client to progress in spiritual growth and overcome life difficulties. 

The FBL Pastoral counseling in not licensed psychological or clinical therapy. Clients must agree to an Informed Consent form acknowledging the faith-based care they will receive. FBL Pastoral counseling is informed and current regarding mental health concerns and all FBL Pastor's will refer, as necessary, any and all cases outside the scope of Pastoral care. Client's will be referred to state licensed mental health professionals. FBL Pastoral counselors utilize SFBT (Solution Focused Based Therapy) as a primary counseling technique grounded in biblical truth. 

FBL Pastoral counseling focuses on the safety and spiritual growth of the client. The FBL Pastor's consent to "limited" confidentiality. If a client professes a desire and/or means to self-harm (suicide, etc.), child abuse, elder abuse, or intention to commit acts of violent crime, Pastor's will contact the appropriate agency to prevent such actions for the safety of the client and others.
